Link’s transmission and driveline testing services provide third-party testing for friction material performance, durability, and compliance to specific requirements.
Friction materials (wet or dry) used on transmission systems are critical for the overall drive and shifting comfort as well as reliability and availability. Performance to specifications is typically verified using standard SAE, ISO, JASO, or corporate laboratory testing.
Link provides testing to support benchmarking, screening, evaluation, or validation activities using µPvt, durability, stepped power, and other scale testing for wet friction materials, lubricants, or fluids. Dry friction materials or manual transmission clutch applications can be tested under torsional fatigue, burst test, dynamic endurance test, compressibility, friction behavior using coupons, or vehicle level testing.
